Fairy Cakes!!

So!! We made fairy cakes, guys!! And they turned out great!! You can't see the different colors, and you should be grateful this isn't smell-a-vision because it smelled absolutely horrible because of the fun surprises in half of the cupcakes. But the other half were very good!! I thought I'd share the recipe with you so you can make some yourself. I would appreciate you stealing my idea, my DM friends!! Or share this with your DM and cause a little bit of chaos!! I'd love to hear what happens when you do!! Enjoy!!
Fairy Cake Recipe:
Ingredients:
Cake batter:
1 ½ sticks of softened butter(6 oz.)
¾ cup all-purpose flour(6 oz.)
¾ cup sugar(6 oz.)
3 eggs
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
Makes 12 cupcakes
Frosting:
1 ½ sticks butter
Powdered sugar
Milk
Makes 5 cups of frosting. May need to halve it.
Recipe:
Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C. Prepare a cupcake pan with paper cups.
Mix sugar and melted butter in a bowl. Beat with a spoon or in a mixing bowl until the mixture is creamy and pale color.
Beat eggs in a separate small bowl. Add the eggs to the butter and sugar mixture and stir until smooth.
Sift the flour and baking powder into the wet ingredients. Beat well. Stir until light and soft.
In a smaller, separate bowl mix a spoonful of batter and any extra ingredients you’d like(ideas listed below) Keep in mind that wet ingredients might require more flour added and may require a longer cooking time than the others.
Make six good cupcakes and six bad, mixing them up in the pan so no one knows.
Cook time differs based off of extra ingredients. At least 10 minutes, up to 20 minutes.
Let them cool as you make the frosting.
Frosting Recipe:
Partially melt a stick and a half of butter. Slowly mix in powdered sugar until the consistency of the frosting is thick and sticky. If it becomes to sticky and hard add a splash of milk.
